Task: Manage Access Requests
The purpose of the task is to monitor all access requests (open and closed), analyze and track outstanding issues and thereby implement the corrective actions if required.
Relationships
Main Description

The Request Fulfillment Manager must regularly review the access request to check if the requests are being closed on time, relevant approvals are sought and the requests are progressed correctly. Quality checks should also be performed on a sample of closed requests to ensure that the agreed Access Management process is correctly followed.

In case of any issues, backlogs or lapse in process followed, the Request Fulfillment Manager should follow up with the appropriate Service Request Handler, identify the root cause and come up with corrective actions for the same. In case of any delays due to pending approvals, the Request Fulfillment Manager may need to intervene in order to accelerate the process.

The Request Fulfillment Manager must track the progress of any outstanding actions, with respect to Access Management, to closure. Effectiveness of closed actions should be determined and lessons learnt should be recorded. The Request Fulfillment Manager should review the pending actions with relevant stakeholders and revisit the action plan, if needed. The Request Fulfillment Manager should also look for changes or scope creep (if any) to the scope of Access Management and communicate to the Engagement Manager if Change Control needs to be triggered.
